The Bucket list of a small town girl (a draft discovered from 2018)

Posted by in Friends, Home

I first wrote this draft in 2018 when i was moving back to my small home city after 17 years of exploring the world and all it had to give me. I don’t know why I never published it, maybe it seemed kinda’ cheesy, but as i read it now it feels my heart with joy to see that three years later some of the things in the list bellow actually came true, meaning when I want something I get it! Even if its just jars with jam 🙂 ….read more

My friend, the actress

Posted by in Friends, Musings, Style

This character I want to write about, an actress and theatre teacher, let’s call her Andreea, is always exploring with her looks and her ways and she is always unsecure of herself. She sends me photos before forwarding them for castings, asking me if I think they are ok. She has not yet found her perfect profile and she is every now and then in search of her feminity. She’s a nomad gypsy, an aristocrat, ragged or elegant, a dreamer and a skeptical,  a believer in God and a nihilist….read more

5 instagram accounts to follow for inspiration

This is a (very) eclectic selection of artists/designers I appreciate at the moment on Instagram. @dominescu aka Megan Dominescu- the artist. This one does knitwear graffiti. Does that make sense? She knits with the same urban and cool vibe like the graffers on urban walls. Only that dominescu’s art can sometimes keep you warm and cosy in the shape of sweaters or hats or scarves. More often that not, she also does carpets to hang as wall art.  I just love it that she uses a traditional craft like knitting…read more

Mix it up ladies

Posted by in Musings, Style

It was only in my 30s and after being through many fashion stages- wearing my brothers clothes stage, 80s fashion stage, hip-hop stage, emo, hippie, rock star, sporty mountaineer type, that I realised that it would be nice to be comfortable to take the best from every world and mix it up without ever being afraid you don’t match, you don’t fit, it’s too much, etc. And once I realized this and actually started doing it, the sky was the limit. I’m telling you (as if all you fashionistas out there didn’t…read more

“The antique silver and gold of Romania”- an inspiring exhibition

Posted by in Architecture & Design, Events, Style

First of all, the exhibition I am going to talk about below is happening in the Museum of History Dambovita, in Targoviste (one hour away from Bucharest), until the 25th of February. After this date, I think it will travel to Bucharest and other cities in Romania, but stay tuned for news. “The antique silver and gold of Romania” exhibition brings together over one thousand archeological pieces of great importance, made out of silver and gold, discovered on the territory of Romania. These pieces are evidence of people’s lives on…read more
